This tutorial shows how to restore a company database created by Payroll Mate. All Payroll Mate back-up files can only be used by restoring the back-up inside Payroll Mate. Back-up files cannot be opened up outside the program.

- Go to File → Open Company
- Select the company you want to open.
- Click → OK
- Go to tools and select restore company database.
- Locate the back-up file by browsing into the external hard drive you saved the back files on.
- Click → OK
- Company restored successfully.
- Click → OK
