How to Use MICR Ink Check Printing

 Payroll Mate Option #4 (MICR Ink Check Printing) allows you to print your own checks out on blank check stock with the company and bank information instead of buying preprinted checks. This tutorial shows how to Use MICR Check Printing inside Payroll Mate software.

  • Go to File → Open Company
  • Select the company you want to open.
  • Click → OK
  • Click Reports → Check Printing
  • Click → Specify Checks to Print
  • Enter the Begin and End Pay Dates of the Checks to be Printed.
  • Check the box “Print MICR Information”
  • Fill in  the Check Printing options box.
  • Click → OK
  • Select the Employees you want to print checks for.
  • Click → OK
  • Click → Preview – Export Checks
  • Select → Print
